What is a Mindset?
A mindset is an individual’s view, a unique lens, on the world. Mindset is the attitude with which a person approaches situations in life. It is a state of mind based on personal beliefs. These beliefs guide their actions.
What is a Skill Set?
A skill set is the set of skills that a person has developed to use in life. It is the combination of knowledge and abilities that have developed through continual practice.
What is Confidence?
Confidence is a feeling that is the outcome of Actions of Practice™.
What is A Confident Mindset™?
Courage. Character. Commitment
A Confident Mindset™ (ACM) is a systematic 6-step framework that teaches an individual how to become confident. This mindset is achieved when an individual learns how to possess the 3C's: Courage, Character, and Commitment.
ACM’s approach is rooted in the ideology that no one is born confident, however, anyone can become confident. At ACM we believe confidence is a mindset that can be practiced and developed.
Why Mindset Before Skill Set?
An individual’s mindset impacts their eagerness to develop new skills. A mindset of confidence fosters a “why not” attitude toward new opportunities and encourages consistent practice, which leads to effective skill development.
When a child faces challenges in math, their mindset influences their approach to learning. Embracing difficulties and persisting through practice can help them master complex concepts, improve problem-solving skills, and turn obstacles into opportunities for success—such as achieving an A on their test!
In a new sport like soccer, confidence may not be immediate. However, a mindset of confidence can transform challenges from setbacks into opportunities for growth. This perspective encourages regular practice and openness to feedback, enabling them to unlock their full potential and build confidence on the field—leading to milestones like scoring their first goal!
